Five Star Entertainers Charitable Donations Guidelines:
This document describes Five Star Entertainer's policy for entertainment donations made to foundations, not-for-profit organizations, community enrichment programs, the arts and other worthy charitable organizations. All requests must come from not-profit organizations.
We recognize that we have a corporate social responsibility to give back to the community that has given us so much.
We are committed to supporting our community in a responsible and beneficial fashion.
The in-kind entertainment that we provide is NOT tax deductible for us. Apart from nominal mileage, the IRS does not make allowance for this. Contributions are for the sole purpose of supporting the community.
Please understand that we are a privately owned small business with a very narrow time allowance of 1-2 days per week to remain profitable. As much as we would like to help most every cause that requests our support, we are limited to choosing 10 organizations per year to assist.
Priority Causes that we support:
Organizations that seek to uplift and enrich their local community
Organizations that support children's health and well being
Organizations that provide services for animal rescueOrganizations that support the needs of VeteransOrganizations that support those with special needsOrganizations that meet the needs of under-privileged and the elderly
Types of Entertainment that we donate:
DJ/MC Hosting
Audio/Visual Services Lighting & Production
Face Painting
Balloon Twisting
Games and Activities
Five Star is NOT able to provide for:
Advertising/Marketing Entities
Alumni/Booster Drives
Capital campaigns/building funds
Political or Fund Raising campaigns
Individual persons or Memorials
Sports Organizations Activities that may result in any violation of the law
Restrictions for Entertainment Donations:
Saturdays during the months of May, October, and December are NOT available for donations.
Federal and religious holidays are available on a limited basis for donations.
Locations where Five Star Entertainers cannot safely or professionally perform the services requested.
Requests must be compliant with applicable federal and state laws as well as Five Star Entertainer's policies.
Five Star Entertainer's does not provide funding to organizations that discriminate on the basis of age, political affiliation, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
Charitable Contribution Request Process:
All charitable contribution requests must be submitted in writing (electronic or printed)
Please include the following items with all request submissions:
A formal letter of request on the organization's letterhead that describes the services needed for the charitable donation, with the specific entertainment requested, including all dates, times, and locations.
Electronic or Printed copies of event flyers, brochures, invitations, or advertising, when applicable.
A list of other vendors or sponsors who are involved with this event.
Map of the proposed event layout including available power and shelter.
Special instructions for access, setup, parking, and security.
Contingency plans for inclement weather and proposed re-schedule dates.
Five Star Entertainers will make every attempt to review and respond to each request within 7 calendar days. We may request additional information. Should we receive a request within 60 calendar days of a proposed activity, we reserve the right to decline the request due to time constraints. Five Star reserves the right to decline a request for any reason.
In the event that the event is cancelled, Five Star Entertainers cannot guarantee availability at a re-scheduled date.
